Fern Group is run by a qualified builder and mechanical engineer with 10 years on industrial, commercial, residential and hazardous sites.

Our founder and operations manager Shaye Deed is a qualified builder and mechanical engineer who has worked on numerous industrial, residential, commercial and hazardous sites over the last 10 years, managing different operations. What began as a small project in 2020 has scaled into the operation that Fern Group is today.

Shaye understands from his own practical experience the way large sites run, what’s needed and how to make it happen in a timely, efficient and — most importantly — safe manner. Falls at height are a leading cause of head injury — and the damage isn’t always something you can see.

Our founder came through a concussion in his early 20s that took two years and hundreds of appointments to recover from, and none of it was visible from the outside.

Invisible injuries are different. Whether it’s a concussion, depression or anxiety, they all need support, and they affect the family and friends around the person too. That’s why we donate to Brain Injury New Zealand.
