Most height safety equipment must be inspected at least every six months in accordance with AS/NZS 1891.4, unless the manufacturer specifies a shorter interval or the equipment is subjected to harsh conditions.

Fern Group's inspectors are competent and have the required training and experience for the specific equipment being inspected. Inspections are led by our founder, Shaye Deed, who holds NZQA Unit Standard 19359, and follow the relevant New Zealand and Australian Standards together with manufacturer requirements.

Any equipment that does not meet inspection requirements will be tagged out of service, recorded in your inspection report, and recommendations will be provided for repair or replacement where appropriate.

Yes we provide recertification on harnesses. We provide an onsite harness inspection. We come to you to minimise time that equipment is out of action for.

Yes. We inspect equipment from most major manufacturers, provided inspection criteria and manufacturer requirements are available. All equipment must meet AS/NZS standards or it will not pass.

Yes. We inspect portable ladders and mobile scaffolds as part of our site compliance services.

Yes. We inspect emergency eyewash stations and safety showers to ensure they remain operational and compliant with relevant standards and manufacturer requirements.

Yes, temporary anchor points. We come to your site, inspect them and certify them. We do not certify permanently installed anchor systems or roof lifelines. For those, talk to a specialist who installs and certifies them.
